Riyadh – Mubasher: Global automation leader Emerson plans to co-develop next-generation corrosion management solutions for Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco), according to a press release.

Corrosion management remains a key strategic focus for Aramco due to its direct impact on operational efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Continuous corrosion monitoring helps replace labor-intensive and potentially hazardous manual inspections by providing a dependable stream of digital data that supports more informed decision-making.

Aramco will integrate its expertise and intellectual property with Emerson’s advanced corrosion solutions to digitalize and transform corrosion management.

Meanwhile, Emerson will contribute its expertise in ultrasonic online corrosion monitoring, wireless connectivity solutions for wall-thickness monitoring devices, and real-time continuous data collection systems to create a tailored corrosion management solution for Aramco’s operations.

Ram Krishnan, chief operating officer for Emerson, commented: “Emerson, with our complete technology stack, is uniquely positioned to co-innovate the next-generation corrosion monitoring solutions that are cost-effective, scalable and customized for Aramco.”

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, Aramco generated revenue worth SAR 433.10 billion and net profit of SAR 120.13 billion.
